James Helba, Jr.

Jim has been advising clients in Pittsburgh since 1970. He graduated from Wittenberg University with a B.A. in Economics and thereafter served in the U.S. Army Intelligence Corps.  In 1978, Jim was the first individual in Western Pennsylvania to have conferred upon him the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) marks.

His professional background, past and present, includes the following:

-  Taught classes at the Community College of Allegheny County;

-  Was an adjunct faculty member of the College for Financial Planning;

-  Has been quoted in Financial Planning Magazine;

-  Was a founding member and past President of the Pittsburgh chapter of the International Association of Financial Planners (IAFP);

Jim Helba resides in McMurray, PA. He has two grown children, is an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoys travel, reading and gardening.
